The new leaves at the tip of the stem create a lush green crown. This is where the flower stems develop as well. It will bloom year-round in a favorable environment. This plant is very easy to grow and doesn’t require special care, other than protection from frost. In mild climates, with only a few hours of frost in winter time, this plant can be planted out in the garden in a sheltered location. The Buddha Belly Plant is an excellent candidate for indoor or outdoor container growing. It tolerates drought but rewards regular watering with a beautiful foliage and frequent flowering. The Buddha Belly Plants are growing in 5" pots. Hardiness Zone – 10 – 11. This plant can only tolerate minimal frost. Bloom – Year-around, long lasting, coral red color.
